Meet, Harold, the HAR in HARMIN and the patriarch who passionately believed in putting family first. A businessman, artist, and world traveler — his appreciation of family, art, and culture, are present in every aspect of the brand. In the age of instant gratification and all fast everything, we are reminded by “Grandpa Har” to appreciate craftsmanship and handwork, and to remember that beauty —and art — are all around us. We hope our bags inspire you to explore the world and appreciate all the moments along the way.
Meet Mina, the MIN in HARMIN and the matriarch who instilled in her family some of the key tenets of the HARMIN brand; quality over quantity and style over labels. Born in Europe, Grandma “Min” believed in buying luxury that lasts — from home to fashion — she never made purchases based on trends or brands; simply quality, value and, of course, good looks! Because of this, she handed down heritage pieces that are still being used (and loved) by the HARMIN family. With this in mind, we hope you enjoy your HARMIN bag and share it with your family for generations to come.
At HARMIN we pay homage to our heritage by combining the finer points of a slower time with the needs of today’s lifestyles. FOUNDER'S STATEMENT
I’ve always been passionate about life and making the most of our time on earth. The longer I live, the more I learn to accept that we simply never know what lies ahead and that each moment is truly a gift that should be honored by living it to its fullest potential.
This is why I always try to show up being the best I can be — whether that means being present and focused, laughing so hard I cry, or putting a little extra effort into looking fabulous— I do work in the fashion industry, after all.
Having been in the business for quite some time, I’ve seen many, many trends come and go. And now, as I look around the real world—NOT the runway world—I see people wanting to be comfortable. They want to be casual, and yet, they want to look good. Apparel has pivoted to accommodate this paradigm shift, as has footwear, but bags still feel stuck in the idiom of a generation past where genders were prioritized over style.
This is the void I am filling with HARMIN.
I set out to create a collection of gender-neutral bags that could work for everyone. And by work, I mean REALLY work. That’s why all of our pieces are made in some of the finest small workshops in Italy from only the highest quality materials. And then they are wear-tested tirelessly to ensure they can perform and live up to our admittedly high standards.
All of our bags are lightweight, very durable, secure, and have washable insides. They also are deceivingly large and can hold much more than meets the eye. All of this is executed with our quiet, simple, modern silhouettes made to let your individual style shine.
It is my sincere hope that there is a HARMIN for everyone.
